PROJECTS
Wildlife Photography & Memorial Book Project
Elyssa Kellerman's 25-year photographic journey has remained a hidden treasure, with the majority of her extraordinary images of wildlife never before shared with the world. She captured the nature world through her lens, which was as a mother and has breathtaking photos of animal mothers and their young. To pay homage to her legacy and support the causes she held dear, your contributions to this project will support:
Digitization and Cataloguing
The Creation of the Photobook
Editorial Processes and Team Support
Publishing and Distribution of the Book
Why Your Support Matters: Together, we can ensure that Elyssa's hidden vision comes to light, inspiring generations to come and contributing to a brighter, more sustainable future. Funds from the sale of the book will continue to support EKF wildlife and environmental projects. Join us today and be a part of this transformative journey.
The Elyssa Kellerman Gardens
The Elyssa Kellerman Gardens are the heart of our work in Costa Rica, dedicated to restoring balance between people and nature. Located alongside the Borucuan Reserve—the 4th most biodiverse region in the country—our gardens are designed as living classrooms and sanctuaries.
Through regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices, we cultivate food systems that heal the land while nourishing local communities. Pollinator gardens support bees, butterflies, and birds, while reforestation projects bring back native trees that shelter wildlife and restore ecological cycles. Conservation corridors ensure animals have safe passage and habitats to thrive.
This project is ongoing and ever-expanding, a tribute to Elyssa’s vision of harmony with the natural world. By supporting the Gardens, you help preserve biodiversity, promote sustainable agriculture, and create a model for communities across Costa Rica.

Regenerative Agriculture and Conservations
Why Your Support Matters: The Memorial Butterfly Garden is more than a tribute; it's a living testament to Elyssa's enduring passion for the natural world. Your involvement, through sponsorship or donation, allows us to create a lasting impact in the heart of Costa Rica's biodiverse pollinator hotspot. As the garden flourishes, it will be a place of reflection, inspiration, and reverence for the intricate web of life that Elyssa Kellerman cherished.
Conservation Land Fund
Protecting Natural Places for Generations
Land is life. The Conservation Land Fund is our dedicated effort to raise capital for purchasing and protecting ecologically and culturally significant lands.
Funds are used to safeguard threatened rainforests, rich wildlife habitats, and areas of cultural importance. In some cases, this means securing land for conservation corridors. In others, it means supporting indigenous communities in buying back their ancestral territories.
Each acre protected is a legacy of Elyssa’s love for nature and her belief in the sacredness of land. By contributing to this fund, you join us in preserving vital ecosystems and ensuring that these landscapes remain wild and free for generations to come.
Developing Community Support
Indigenous Peoples Fund & Local Aid. The Elyssa Kellerman Foundation is committed to walking side by side with the people who call these lands home. Our Developing Community Support initiative uplifts both indigenous and local communities surrounding our projects in Costa Rica and beyond.
Through the Indigenous Peoples Fund, we provide resources for land restoration, cultural preservation, and indigenous land buy-back. We also support local families through infrastructure improvements, humanitarian aid, and collaborative land projects that enhance resilience and dignity.
This work ensures that conservation does not happen in isolation, but in deep partnership with the stewards of the land. Every contribution helps us strengthen community roots while honoring ancestral wisdom.
Your contribution supports indigenous agroforestry, seed preservation, and sustainable farming. Together, we can conserve land, protect biodiversity, and empower local communities.
